Do I need a referral to be seen?

A referral isn't required unless your specific insurance plan requires one. If you're not sure, our team is happy to check for you before your visit.

What ages do you see?

We provide care for women at every stage of life, from young adults to those navigating menopause and beyond. Teens may be seen for certain conditions. Feel free to call the office to see how we can help.

Can I be seen for a wellness consultation without an annual exam?

Yes. A wellness consultation does include a pelvic exam, and if preventive gynecologic care is recommended during that visit, we can schedule it for a separate appointment at a time that works for you.

What if I have an urgent concern?

Call our office. Someone is available 24/7 to help address your needs. If you have medical emergency, please call 911.

Do you offer telehealth or home visits?

Yes, we offer both telehealth appointments and home visits. Home visits are available for an additional charge.

What To Expect At Your First Visit

ARRIVAL

Plan to arrive 15 minutes early to allow for parking (to the left and right of the office) and to complete any remaining paperwork.

YOUR VISIT

Appointments are scheduled with enough time for a real conversation. We don't rush through your history or your questions. A physical exam will be performed.

AFTER YOUR VISIT

We'll help schedule any follow-up visits before you leave, you'll receive a personalized summary through our patient portal. Our team will assist with coordination of labs, imaging, or referrals as needed.

Insurance & Self-Pay Options

We want to be upfront about where things stand as a new practice:

Journey Well MD (Gynecology & Urogynecology): We're in-network with Aetna, United Healthcare, Cigna, Medicare, Medicaid, Geisinger, and Multiplan. Credentialing with Independence Blue Cross Blue Shield, UPMC, and others is still in progress. If you carry one of these plans, you may have out-of-network benefits, or call our office at (484) 323-1400 and we can help you check.

Journey Well Renew (Wellness & Aesthetics): Renew services are self-pay and available now including hormone therapy, IV therapy, weight optimization, and intimate wellness treatments. HSA/FSA funds can be used where applicable.

How To Prepare For Your Appointment

Bring a valid photo ID and insurance card, we'll take photo copies for your file at check-in.
Complete your new patient intake form on the portal (save time by filling this out before you arrive).
Bring relevant medical records from previous providers or upload them to your portal
A list of questions or concerns you'd like to discuss, there's no such thing as a small question
